Notarial and China Attesting Services

Notarial Services

A notary public is a specially qualified individual authorised to verify and authenticate documents for use internationally. The office of a notary public is well trusted and respected by governments, organisations and individuals involved in international transactions all over the globe. Notarial services are a distinct element of the legal service in Hong Kong and with Hong Kong being Asia’s World City, the role of the notary public is a constant presence in most transactions.

Legalisation Services

An Apostille Certificate is normally requested by foreign authorities and organisations so that your document can be used for official purposes outside of Hong Kong. Apostilles are most often required for business, legal and personal matters such as marriages, births, real estate and commercial transactions.

China Attesting Services

Since the reunification of Hong Kong with China, there have been increasing exchanges between the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and Hong Kong. Given the differences in the legal and notarization systems between the PRC and Hong Kong, China-appointed attesting officers play a key role in facilitating commercial exchanges and civil legal matters between the two jurisdictions.
